とんぼ玉って知ってますか？
ビーズアクセサリで使われる大きなガラス玉のことです。
有名な作家の作品になると結構高いんですよ。
ここは何とそのとんぼ玉を自分で作れる体験教室のあるお店です。
楽しみ～。
Do you know what "tonbo-dama" are?
They are large glass beads used for accessories.
Beads made by well-known artists can be quite expensive.
Here, you can join a workshop and make your own tonbo-dama.
I am very excited!

お店の中はギャラリーになっていって展示販売もしています。
カオリは早速お気に入りのトンボ玉をゲットしました。
Inside, the shop is also a gallery with many beads on display and for sale.
I quickly found a favorite tonbo-dama and bought it.

ギャラリーの横に体験教室があります。
このガスバーナーを使ってガラス棒を自分で溶かしてトンボ玉を作るのです。
Next to the gallery space, there is a workshop area.
In this area, you use a gas burner to melt glass rods and form them into beads.

ガラスの破片が飛んだ場合に備えてサングラスをします。
We wear safety sunglasses to protect our eyes from small pieces of glass.

こうしてガラスを溶かして鉄の棒に巻きつけてください、はい、やってみて。
すごい～、まるで飴のように鉄の棒に巻きつけることができます。
丸くするのはなかなか難しいよ～。
"Melt the glass like this and wind it around the metal rod. Now you try!"
Wow, the glass wraps around the rod like soft candy.
It is difficult to make a perfectly round bead.

じゃん！こちらが今回作成した作品です。
なかなかうまく出来てるでしょう？
また作りにいきたいなっ。
