白笹山から流れる清流、沢名川にある滝です。 This waterfall is on the Sawanagawa River, which flows from Mt. Shirasasa.

看板のある地点から階段をかなり降ります。 From the signboard, you go down a long flight of stairs.

すると岩がごろごろしている川辺に出ます。 Then you arrive at a riverside area with many rocks.

あれが乙女の滝です。
名前の由来は足が魚の形をした美少女がここで髪を洗っていたからだとも、滝自体が乙女のような姿をしているからだとも言われています。 That is Otome no Taki.
One legend says a beautiful girl with fish-shaped feet washed her hair here.
Another legend says the waterfall itself looks like a maiden.
