面白いと評判のなかがわ水遊園にやってきました。
あいにくの雨模様でしたが、水遊園なら雨でも大丈夫。
結構、たくさんの人が訪れていました。 We arrived at Nakagawa Aquatic Park, a fun and unique facility.
It was raining, but everything is indoors, so the weather was not a problem.
Many visitors were enjoying the exhibits.

那珂川の自然な渓流が断面図で見られるようになっています。
まるで自分が水中に潜っているかのような錯覚にとらわれます。 You can see a cross section of the natural Nakagawa River stream.
It almost feels like you are diving underwater.

カメさんとスキンシップをとることも出来ます。
見て見て！ カメさんが首を伸ばしてるよ。 There is an area where you can get close to turtles.
Look, the turtle stretches its neck.

世界の川のコーナーでは、南米アマゾンの魚達が泳ぐ様子を水中トンネルの中から見ることができます。
このウロコすご～い。 In the “Rivers of the World” zone, you walk through an underwater tunnel and watch fish from the Amazon River swim around you.
Their scales look very impressive.

水槽のガラスはこんなにぶ厚いのです。
すごい技術だね。 The tank glass is very thick.
It shows advanced aquarium technology.

最後は地下にある「おさかな研究室」で魚のウロコやミジンコを顕微鏡で見てお勉強です。
ミジンコ動いてるよ～。何だか可愛いね～。
この他にも味わい工房や創作工房、つり池講座（ルアー・フライ）などもあって、とにかく楽しいこと盛りだくさんの施設です。
夏場は、無料で利用できる水あそび場もオススメです。 We finished our visit at the underground “Fish Laboratory,” where you can see fish scales and tiny plankton through microscopes.
The tiny creatures were moving, and they looked cute.
There are also hands-on studios, craft workshops, and fishing pond classes (lure and fly). The park has many fun activities.
In summer, the free outdoor water play area is very good for families.
