「すずめのお宿」は、岩魚料理＆那須牛ステーキという看板が目印の和洋レストラン。
何度も前を通ったことがあったのですが、なかなか入る機会がありませんでした。
ある日、“何かに呼ばれているような気がして”思い切って入ってみたら、そのおもてなしの心にすっかり魅了されてしまいました。 Hello, this is Kaori.
“Suzume no Oyado” is a Japanese-Western restaurant with a sign for char (iwana) dishes and Nasu beef steak.
I had driven past many times but had never gone in. One day I decided to stop.
Inside, I was very impressed by the warm hospitality.

過去に何度も前を通ったことがあるのですが、入ったことがありませんでした。
でも、この日は何故か“何かに呼ばれているような気がして”入店してみることにしました。
It is a Japanese-Western restaurant with a sign for char dishes and Nasu beef steak.
I had driven past many times but had never gone inside.
On this day I decided to go in and try it.
店内には囲炉裏もあっていい感じ。
静かな森の中で落ち着けるね。
Inside, there is an irori (traditional sunken hearth), and it creates a calm atmosphere.
The restaurant stands in a quiet forest and is very relaxing.
カオリが注文したのは「岩魚膳」。
すっごく美味しそうー。
那須牛ステーキも添えられていてとても豪華な感じです。
I ordered the “Iwana Set Meal.”
It looked very delicious.
Nasu beef steak on the side made the meal feel rich.
お蕎麦が美味しいいー。
何でもっと早くこのお店の存在に気付かなかったんだろう。
The soba was very tasty.
I wondered why I had not found this restaurant earlier.
メインの岩魚も柔らかくて美味しい。
頭以外、骨まですべて食べてしまいました。
そして特筆すべきはグレープフルーツ。
きちんと食べ易いように包丁が２箇所に入れてありました。
こんな細かな心遣いに“おもてなしの心”を感じてしまうのです。
The main char fish was tender and delicious.
I ate all the bones except the head.
The grapefruit that came with the meal also had two neat cuts to make it easier to eat.
These small details show their spirit of hospitality.
あー、美味しかったー。満足、満足。
駐車場の区切りは校庭に引かれるような白線だったり、お部屋の隅には人形が置かれていたり、壁には思い出の写真が貼られていたり。
老夫婦がお二人でオープンされているレストランは、どことなくレトロな雰囲気が漂っていますが、お客様に対する真面目な姿勢があらゆるところから感じられて、カオリはとても好感を抱きました。
All the dishes were very delicious, and I left satisfied.
The parking spaces have white lines like a school playground. There are dolls in the room corners and old photos on the walls.
An elderly couple runs the restaurant. The retro atmosphere and their sincere attitude toward customers left a warm impression on me.

朝早くから営業していたのも助かりました。
It is a place where you can relax and feel at ease.
It opened early in the morning, which was very convenient.
