Nasu Orgel Museum (Handmade Music Box)

手作りオルゴール教室1
Let’s make a one-of-a-kind, memorable music box. Hello, this is Kaori.
At the Nasu Orgel Museum, you can join a workshop where you choose your favorite melody, box, and decorations to create your very own music box.
From the delicate assembly work to decorating with cute parts, it’s a fun activity for families and couples alike.
It’s the perfect place for those who want to turn their travel memories into something you can keep and cherish.

手作りオルゴール教室1

I heard there was a handmade music box workshop at the Orgel Museum, so I decided to visit and join it.

手作りオルゴール教室2

First, you choose a music box mechanism that plays your favorite tune, then pick the box that will hold it and the decorations you want to use.

手作りオルゴール教室3

Some parts require detailed work with a screwdriver.
You need to tighten everything carefully so it stays firmly in place.

手作りオルゴール教室4

Then comes the decorating with glue.
Kids can easily take part in this step, which makes it extra fun for families.

手作りオルゴール教室5

The result is a music box full of memories.
Every time you listen to its gentle sound at home, it will remind you of your happy time in Nasu Highland.

The sound of a music box has a nostalgic feel, doesn’t it?
It’s great for parents and children to make one together, but I also think it’s perfect for couples in love.
You’ll have a one-of-a-kind music box that exists only for the two of you.
You can choose from about 70 melodies and decorate the box with cute parts.
Every time you hear it, your memories will come flooding back.
To remember when you made it, I recommend writing the date and a little message on the bottom of the box—something like:
-----
“20xx.xx.xx Our memories from Nasu Highland.
Taro & Hanako – Forever LOVE.”
-----
Sounds nice, doesn’t it?
