I came to “Nasu Heisei-no-Mori,” a popular forest area where you can walk in the Imperial Villa forest.
About half of the villa land opened to the public on the 20th anniversary of the Emperor’s reign, creating this large forest.
It is an easy place to visit in light clothing, yet you can enjoy a real nature walk in Nasu.

I arrived at “Nasu Heisei-no-Mori,” a place known for walks in the Imperial Villa forest.
うわー、広大な森が広がっているんですねー。
「那須平成の森」は、天皇陛下御在位20年の節目の機会に、御用邸用地のおよそ半分が公開された森なのです。
Wow, the forest is very large.
Nasu Heisei-no-Mori was created when about half of the Imperial Villa land opened to the public for the Emperor’s 20th anniversary.

森の中は風が涼しくて気持ちいいー。
I walk under sunlight through the trees.
The cool wind in the forest feels refreshing.
フィールドセンターから森の中の一本道をずうーっと歩いて、駒止の滝を眺めるビューポイントまで行くことができます。
From the Field Center, you can stay on one path through the forest and reach the viewpoint for Komadome Falls.
幻の滝と言われた美しい駒止の滝の姿は、見るだけで心が癒されます～。
Komadome Falls is called a “phantom waterfall.” Its beauty is calming to see.

御用邸の森を散策するのは気持ちがいいです。
道もよく整備されています。
軽装で気軽に、でも意外と本格的な那須の自然散策が楽しめるという、待望の施設なのです。
まるで、アメリカのヨセミテ国立公園で自然を満喫しながらハイキングして楽しむような、そんな楽しみ方ができる森だな、と感じました。
那須平成の森は「日光国立公園」ですが、国立公園を散策できるという部分は、もっとアピールしても良いのでは？と感じました。
It feels nice to walk in the Imperial Villa forest.
The paths are well maintained.
You can enjoy a simple but real nature walk in Nasu here.
I felt it was similar to hiking in Yosemite National Park while enjoying nature.
Nasu Heisei-no-Mori is part of Nikko National Park, and I think this point could be promoted more.
そこにあるのは雄大な自然であって、それ以上でも以下でもありません。
でも、その雄大な自然の息吹を五感で感じながら、自然が見せる様々な魅力を楽しむ。
そうしているうちに、いつの間にか心が穏やかになっていることに気づく筈です。
自然と一体となって、そこに生かされていることを感じ、自然の声に耳を傾ける時間。
まさに、那須ならではの体験ですね。

It is a time to feel connected with nature and listen to its quiet sounds.
This is a special kind of experience you can have only in Nasu.
