藤城清治美術館1

I am visiting Fujishiro Seiji Museum.
This museum appeared on the front page of the Shimotsuke Newspaper and became well known.

藤城清治美術館2

Photography is not allowed inside, but the world of shadow art is very impressive.
Artist Seiji Fujishiro designed this museum himself.
I can feel that he strongly wants visitors to enjoy it, and the displays moved me deeply.

There is also a church that was built when the museum opened.

Inside the church you can see stained glass with animals and other designs.

I was amazed that such a wonderful museum opened in the Nasu Highlands.
When I visited, it was still in a pre-opening stage and some works were not finished, so I want to come again after the grand opening.

(Kaori’s Highlights)

It really is art made from light and shadow, and I was very surprised.
I have never seen a museum that shows so many shadow pictures so carefully.
When you enter, the displays pull you into the world of the pictures, and it feels different from daily life.
It is a place that makes you want to visit again in each season.
Later I visited a shadow art exhibition at Yamaha Ginza Studio and received Mr. Fujishiro’s autograph and a handshake.
I think a strong new sightseeing spot has appeared in the Nasu Highlands.
