那須街道沿いにまっ白い建物でお洒落な佇まいの雑貨屋さんがオープンしていたので訪れました。 Along the Nasu Highway, I saw a stylish white building. It was a new craft shop, so I went inside.

店内には可愛い木工雑貨がいっぱい。 Inside the shop, there are many cute wooden crafts.

煙突の部分に印鑑がさせるようになっている、小さな木のお家です。
いつも印鑑がどこかにいってしまうのが悩みだったので、これはイイと思いゲット。 This is a small wooden house. You can place your personal seal (inkan) in the chimney part.
I often lose my seal, so I decided to buy it.

試験管が３本差さっている３輪差し。
本当に何気ない雰囲気ですが…。 This item is a small stand that holds three test tubes as small vases.
It looks very simple at first.

道端で採取してきた植物を差すと、こんなに素敵な雰囲気に。
木工雑貨って、いいモノだなーと改めて感じました。 However, when you put wild plants from the roadside into the tubes, it creates a nice atmosphere.
It made me feel again that wooden crafts are very charming.

よく考えてみると、可愛い木工雑貨の専門店って、「ありそうでなかったお店」という印象で、かなりイイかも～。
作家の方にお話しを伺ったところ、本当は椅子などの制作がご専門とのことで、しっかりとした技術を持った方が作る木工雑貨だからこそイイものなんだと、妙に納得してしまいました。 When you think about it, a shop that sells only cute wooden crafts is rare, so it feels special.
I talked with the craftsperson and heard that they mainly make chairs and other furniture. Because of this skill, the wooden goods feel very high quality.
